Application Procedures
1. The investor should submit a completed application form and supporting documents to the Directorate of Private Education at the Ministry of Education.
2. The application will be submitted to the Joint Committee for licensing the establishment of private education and training institutions to get the initial approval. The committee meets
once a month
3. After the initial approval is granted, the Directorate of Training Institutes Affairs will supply the investor with letters addressed to the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation (for all) and to the General Directorate of Traffic, the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the Municipality (for training institutes and centres only)
4. The Directorate will also supply the investor with a letter addressed to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce requesting issuance of commercial registration. Copy of the commercial registration certificate must be presented to the Directorate of Training Institutes Affairs
5. The investor must provide a bank certificate showing he/she can meet the minimum financial obligations of the project cost (BD 30,000 for a training centre and BD 15,000 for a training co-ordination office)
6. The investor must pay the license fee (for three years) and provide a bank guarantee in the specified amount
7. Upon satisfaction of all required conditions and requirements, a license is issued by the Ministry of Labour and the investor is supplied with a copy of Legislative Decree No.25 of 1998 with respect to Private Educational and Training Institutions.
