Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro confirmed government and Ministry keenness to provide all orientation and initiatives led by the private sector to enhance the economic and urban sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain to achieve the desired growth of this sector in accordance with aspirations and strategies of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
This came during a meeting with chairman of Al Saqer Cement Factory Mr. Hisham Al Rayes and CEO of Al Saqer Cement Factory Mr. Salah Al Sharif. The Minister confirmed that the government and the Ministry support all initiatives that enhance the economic sector in the country and provide citizens and residence needs of consumer goods and services and other daily products which contribute to directly and indirectly to stimulate economic and urban development in the Kingdom. Also is to achieve that stability required in this sector in terms of price and quantity available.
Dr. Fakhro touched in this context the role played by the government in order to provide country’s requirement of cement and its coordination and cooperation with all parties concerned including relevant institutions from outside Bahrain particularly in Saudi Arabia, which supplies Bahrain with ample quantities of cement on a regular basis which contributed to stabilized the prices in the local market.
From their part, they commended the great efforts made by the government and the Ministry in order to support the private sector.
