Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro received yesterday a number of Muharraq Central Market butchers.
Dr. Fakhro thanked the Butchers for their cooperation with the ministry in implementing its directions which ensured the stability of the market during the holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Fakhro stressed the importance of such consultative meetings which brings together ministry officials, butchers and Bahrain livestock company representatives and its role in improving central markets.
Dr. Fakhro told them that the ministry would be curbing the issue of commercial registrations for meat sellers and would be reviewing the existence of current stores.
Up to 95,000 animals will be shipped to the country on Saturday for Eid Al Adha.
He urged the butchers to show more flexibility and to deal positively with Bahrain Livestock company, especially when shipment delays from the country of origin causes come constrains.
