Ceremony to Honor Participants in the Project of Empowering Bahrain's Youth in the Field of Intellectual Property

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in coordination with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), organized a ceremony to honor the participants in the project to empower Bahrain's youth in the field of intellectual property, in the presence of Ms. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Mr. Marwan Fouad Kamal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, and His Excellency Ambassador Hassan Kleib, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).

On this occasion, Ms. Eman Ahmed Al Doseri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, stressed that the project to empower Bahrain's youth in the field of intellectual property embodies a strategic partnership to instill a culture of innovation and creativity in young people, and provide them with the necessary knowledge about intellectual property tools and how to benefit from them to protect their ideas and turn them into tangible achievements.

Al Doseri added that the Ministry of Industry and Commerce believes that supporting young people in the field of innovation extends from providing knowledge to promoting safe spaces for experimentation, and linking them with experts and practitioners, enabling them to excel in a supportive environment.

H.E. Mr. Marwan Fouad Kamal pointed out that this project represents a joint national effort, and a qualitative initiative that embodies the well-established strategy pursued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in supporting youth creativity, promoting a culture of knowledge innovation and protecting intellectual property.

He added that “through this joint program, we went beyond the limits of theoretical knowledge to empower Bahrain's youth with practical tools that allow them to transform their ideas into knowledge assets, and their projects into protected rights based on innovation and entrepreneurship.

The most prominent outcomes of the project were reviewed, which included a series of training workshops and creative sessions, in addition to announcing the winners of the Intellectual Property Ambassadors Program. Certificates of appreciation were also handed to all participants in honor of their contributions and efforts to the field.
